The setting for our conference dinner will be the historic Midland Hotel, one of the grand hotels built by the Midland Railway Company, built to serve the former Manchester Central station (now a major convention centre). Opened in 1903, the hotel was designed by Charles Trubshaw in the Edwardian Baroque style and is now a Grade II* listed building. Amongst other things, the hotel is famous as the place where Charles Rolls and Henry Royce first met, leading to the creation of Rolls-Royce Limited in 1904.
