Davide Consoli is Senior Research Fellow at INGENIO (CSIC-UPV) in Valencia, Spain. He was previously at the University of Manchester, UK. His research at the intersection of economics and policy focuses on the sources and effects of innovation and new technology, with a particular emphasis on the dynamics of skill emergence and obsolescence; on structural changes in employment; and on distributional outcomes. His published work focuses on a variety of empirical contexts such as customer banking, medicine, Knowledge Intensive Business Services and, more recently, the green transition. He has led and co-led grants funded by the EC, ESRC, Leverhulme Foundation (UK) and the Ministry of Science and Innovation (ES). He has also advised the NHS, DTI (UK), CSI (IT), EC JRC and Eurofound. He is a member of the advisory editorial board of Research Policy and, previously, of Technology Analysis and Strategic Management. He has been invited to give keynote talks and participate in expert panels by the EC, the Young Foundation (UK), the US Science Foundation, ANECA (ES) and GSSI (IT).
